Booking and Prices

If you would like to book any of our facilities at Sandy Acres please read the information below:

  1. Bookings can be made for up to two years ahead.
  2. Check the online calendars to see if the dates you require are free.
  3. Then e-mail or phone the Booking Administrator to reserve dates. A provisional booking will be made and held for four weeks only.
  4. Provisional bookings not confirmed within four weeks will be released after notification to the person who made the initial booking.
  5. Next either download the BOOKING FORM; complete and with your deposit cheque of £100 post to Mrs. Marian Fisher 22, St Mary's Ave Alverstoke, Gosport PO12 2HX OR e-mail your completed form to administrator@sabookings.myzen.co.uk and send your deposit through BACS (details below).
  6. The deposit will be offset against the final balance.
  7. Your booking will then be confirmed and we will send you a link to a secure part of this website where you will be able to download a series of useful documents that you will need for your stay at the site.
  8. Cancellations: must be made e-mailed or in writing to the Bookings Administrator. Charges will be made as follows:
    a) Less than 14 days notice the full fee will be charged.
    b) 14 days and three months notice 50% of the full fee will be charged.
    c) The deposit is non-returnable.

  • The balance must be settled a full two weeks prior to the event.

Sandy Acres Charges from 1.10.2025 to 30.9.2026

1. Guides, Scouts and Other Approved Charities


Badgers Lodge

  • A modern building, with sleeping accommodation for twenty-four girls in three rooms in bunk beds.
  • There are also two en suite Leaders rooms, each accommodating up to four people in single beds, plus toilet and shower.
  • Showers and toilets for able bodied and disabled people.
  • A kitchen and large central hall.
  • An Adventure trail is situated between Owls Hoot and the wood pile.
  • Two picnic tables and benches are to be found on the bank (road side) just past Owls Hoot.
BADGERS LODGE ONLY

Charges

£10 per head per day or part of a day.
Minimum charge £150 per day deposit £100 Exit time 6.00 pm.
Half day use £70 (up to 5 hours) with deposit £30.
Evening use £35 with deposit £10 & use of kitchen £20.
Any other large evening events - for costs apply to Bookings Administrator.
General amenities charge for all users £40 (to cover water, electricity, refuse) per 24 hours.

Exclusive use of whole site (Badgers Lodge, whole field, Owls Hoot & Foxes Den)
£400 and amenities charge £40. Total £440.

Camp Sites


Fox Den and Owls Hoot

  • These two sites are available with solid based shelters and altar fires. Owls Hoot was built in 2025.
  • All campers have external access to campers showers and toilets in Badgers Lodge.
  • In addition, eco toilets are available, sited at the far end of the field.
  • Fridge and freezer are available in the shed on the car park plus a phone charging point.

Contents of Shelters

  • Stainless steel cabinet, tables, chairs, and shelves, parasol for table.
  • Shelters can be very dark on wet days please bring your own LED lanterns.
  • There is plenty of wood on the woodpile (please check for nails).
  • Wood can also be gathered from the grounds.

Charges

Camp Sites and Evening Campfires

  • £8 per head per 24 hrs (incl. D of E visits). Deposit £25.
  • Larger events (over 30 people) for costs apply to Bookings Administrator.
  • £30 for use of campfire circle plus campers and eco toilets.

2. Other Users


Private hire of any type may only take place during term time and is subject to discussion with the Booking Administrator.

  • £20 per caravan/mobile home/campervan.
  • Whole field available.
  • Badgers Lodge only: £15 per head per day + amenities charge £40 (to cover water, refuse electricity).
  • Minimum charge £160. Deposit £100.
  • Half-day minimum charge £90 (up to 5 hours) + amenities charge £20.
  • Private campers £8 per head per 24-hour period. Deposit £25.



3. All Users - General Conditions


  • Cleaning by the Housekeeper can be arranged in advance (£25 per hour). Apply to the Bookings Administrator.
  • Fireworks are not allowed on the site due to the close proximity of horses and other animals, including pets.

Rubbish Disposal

  • A wheelie bin is available for domestic rubbish. Food waste to be put in sealed bags before placing in bin. The bin should be securely closed and placed by the entrance outside the gate on departure.
  • No bags must be left outside the bin as this is a health hazard and makes a general mess when opened by animals. AT THE END OF YOUR VISIT PLEASE DO NOT PUT UNOPENED FOOD PACKETS IN THE WHEELIE BIN. Please take them home or take them to a local food bank.
  • Hirers are requested to remove from the site and take home any recyclable and non-recyclable materials, e.g. cardboard.
  • Wood pallets can remain on site but in the wood pile.
  • Please use the small red Biffa bin for glass recycling.
  • Wheelie bin day: early Thursday morning, so please put the bin out on Wednesday evening.
  • Large events - red Biffa bin is available by prior arrangement. Emptying charge £70.
