About Badgers Lodge
Badgers Lodge is a modern, purpose-built residential building at Sandy Acres, opened in 2010. It replaced an earlier wooden building and was built with the support of grants and community fundraising.
The Lodge is ideal for Brownie Pack Holidays and Guide Residentials, accommodating up to 32 people in comfort. It provides a warm, secure indoor base alongside the campsite’s outdoor spaces.

Hall & Dining Area
The large central hall serves as both an activities space and a dining area, providing plenty of room for group gatherings, indoor games, craft sessions, and mealtimes.

Kitchen
The Lodge has a fully fitted and equipped kitchen capable of catering for the full complement of residents. It is available to Lodge users and, on a day/evening booking basis, to field users too.

Dormitories & Leaders’ Rooms
Sleeping accommodation is arranged across three dormitories and two dedicated leaders’ rooms, providing separate, comfortable spaces for all members of the group.
Three Dormitories
- Each dormitory sleeps 8 people
- Four bunk beds per room
- Total dormitory capacity: 24 people
Two En-Suite Leaders’ Rooms
- Each room sleeps 4 people on single beds
- En-suite toilet and shower
- Total leaders’ capacity: 8 people

Badgers Lodge has comprehensive shower and toilet facilities to serve both Lodge residents and field campers.
