Our Camping Areas
Sandy Acres has two main camping areas – Foxes Den and Owls Hoot – along with a third site, Rabbits Field, suitable for shorter stays. All campers have access to showers and toilets in Badgers Lodge from the field, as well as eco-toilets on site.
Foxes Den
One of the two main camping areas at Sandy Acres, Foxes Den features a solid-based wooden shelter and an altar fire, providing a traditional camping experience in a sheltered setting.

Owls Hoot
Owls Hoot is a new log cabin which features its own off-grid lighting system, making it perfect for overnight and residential stays.

Central Campfire Circle
The central campfire circle and the site wood pile are available for use by everyone on site, bringing all groups together for an evening around the fire.

- Wood may also be gathered from the grounds
Additional Outdoor Facilities
Amenity Shed
A metal shed adjacent to the car park contains a fridge and freezer available to campers, plus a mobile phone charging point. A personal power pack is recommended for reliable charging.
Willow Circle & Play Area
The site also features a willow circle and a play area, offering additional spaces for quiet activities, nature exploration, and younger members.
Eco-Toilets
Eco-toilets are located at the far end of the field, providing a convenient and environmentally friendly facility for campers on the field. Full shower and toilet facilities are also accessible from the field via Badgers Lodge.
